It appears Cardi B’s visit to bother Ghana and Nigeria has set off a chain reaction which appears to have gone beyond exchange of jabs on social media between citizens from both countries.
Popular Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale seems to have caused quite a buzz on social media after he declared himself a Nigeria after he claimed to have gotten the Nigerian passport and work permit.
He took to Twitter to write: “Thank God I just got my naija passport with work permit Proud naija boy .” While many people are unsure about whether it was a joke or not, the tweet has since gone viral on the platform.

Meanwhile, American rapper, Cardi B, has taken to social media to weigh in on the social media war between Ghana and Nigeria following the recent reactions her recent visit to both countries generated.
It is no news that the people of Ghana and Nigerian are social media frenemies who love to fight over everything from politics, entertainment and most especially food. Well, the 27-year-old rapper seems to be getting a hang of it.
During her live Instagram story, Cardi B stated that she didn’t know the beef was fake and went on to compare it to that of her home country, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
